Hello neighbors of New Haven, I just wanted to touch base with you in regards to how tax collecting will be done this year at the town hall.
Tax bills have been mailed and you will see I am only scheduled to be there for two Saturdays, January 10th and 17th, from 1-3 pm, this year. The reason for this change is our township has moved to electronic receipting.
If you choose to stop by the town hall to pay taxes, I want you to know I cannot provide you with a receipt that day, receipts will be mailed back to you.
The electronic receipting scans your payment information directly to the Dunn County Treasurer Office and uploads it into the records. No more batching, so you will see a shorter turn around time with payments and receipts.
I enjoy seeing you all, but I would encourage everyone to drop their tax payments in the mail, post marked by the 31st of January, as I am not available to have drop offs at my home.
Also, if you should have rental property within our township would you please send me the name(s) and address of your renters with your tax payments, as we would like to keep all residents informed with town mailings/newsletters. Thank You
PLEASE NOTE: All dog license are due by April 1st. Spayed/neutered dogs are $3.00 all others are $8.00 per dog
Proof of current rabies and spayed/neutered are required to obtain a license. A late fee of $5.00/dog will be added if not obtained by the April 1st deadline.
I have a list of dogs that have been owned in the township, names will be turned over to the district attorney's office if not in compliance.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!
Sincerely your town treasurer,
